Born and raised in Derby, Kansas, Amy graduated from Derby High School and is an alumni of Wichita State University. She and Gus have 3 children and enjoy being active in both their church and the community of Derby, Kansas.

With her experience in patient care and scheduling for physicians, Amy has worked in the field for several years establishing herself as an expert in customer care. Working for the largest hospital in Kansas allows Gus to be aware of patient needs, quality of care, and the continuity needed to establish a healing environment for their clients. With a special love for people, Gus enjoys being involved in activities that enrich the lives of everyone around him.

Gus and Amy look forward to supplying Sedgwick County and the surrounding areas with quality caregivers and exceptional service creating peace of mind to families and the clients that they serve! We were always very close, and she spent her last years in an assisted living community. Everyone in the community cherished and respected her. Those last years changed my whole perspective on caregiving. I want to make a living doing something meaningful in the world and can’t think of anything more rewarding than taking care of our seniors.I truly care how our clients are treated, and we take quality very seriously. I want our clients treated the same as my own grandmother was treated.

After 11 years, I decided to pursue my dream of owning a business in a field where I felt I could do something that was close to my heart. I was inspired by my grandmother who is 102 years of age currently, and under assisted living care. I visit her as often as I can and have come to admire and appreciate the work caregivers do. I realize how much need there is for quality service in home care seeing how my family has been so positively affected by it.

Seeing how incredibly happy my grandmother was, was what motivated me to seek a company that would meet my high expectations. I invested in A Better Solution (ABS) because I am confident that the core values, experienced leaders, and the proven track record within the ABS family will ensure the success of this agency.

I believe my professional experience in project management will greatly aide in our success. Leadership and teamwork are some of the most important aspects I have taken away from my career. While management is an important part of any business, I feel the art of inspiring and motivating people to perform to the best of their ability is an important area of focus. One of my main goals for this location is to create a positive work environment and culture that will create happy and satisfied employees. I strongly believe that a positive working environment will aid in providing better quality care for our clients.
